Welcome to CRM Life episode 57, where a family of Cuban immigrants tries to survive in the grey market watch and jewelry industry yet one more week! On the last episode, we discussed that luxury watches were in a correction that could eventually turn into a market crash. Nothing has really changed during this episode, just a lot more red! We also got our share of hateful comments, people calling for an end to grey market dealers and investors who have been buying high end watches above retail prices (which is the majority of the collectors and enthusiasts who have purchased popular models from Rolex, Patek Philippe, and other top Swiss watch brands in the last 3 years). Lots of people are reluctant to admit that the greatest printing of money in human history, which also took place in the last few years, is the main culprit behind this hyper-inflationary death spiral. To them, we're (the gray market dealers) are the ones to blame. Without us, watches would still be affordable! But do we really deserve all the hate! We read you some of the comments we've received since the last episode and discuss them and the entire market situation on camera. Despite the hate and dropping prices, we're extremely blessed. Supportive fans continued to show up from different corners of the globe to show their support and spend time with us. We also got to celebrate the college graduation of Sophia, Dan's daughter, who we hope one day can become CRM Jewelers' head counsel! In the crazy world we're living, we're definitely going to need her legal services! Another reason to celebrate is the birth of Watch Jenny's baby boy, Kelvin.
